As my little man transforms into a young man who is now officially taller than me, I can not bring myself to delete this video from 2020. Thomas is a thoughtful, intelligent, compassionate person who strives to glorify God. He recently volunteered at another Vacation Bible School at sanpedrochurch.com, selflessly dancing while encouraging the children to laugh, sing and join in the joy believers know by way of their connection to Christ.
He’ll be 17 years young this summer, and what folks say is true: parents ask themselves all the time, “Where has the time gone?” But in my case, every the tinge of nostalgia emerges, I give thanks to God for the wonderful gift given to his mother and me through Thomas’s life.
I still think he’d make a great president, whether or not he ever sells popcorn again.
