FAMILY

The words of John 7:38 serve as the Stamper guiding principle, "From the believers shall flow living waters." Following Jesus is our unspoken motto.

Sports activities (Thomas), youth group (for all), and  volunteering at the animal rescue center (Cole) are all favorites in this season of their lives.

Aster, their beloved rescue, turns five on Christmas.

PASTOR BRYAN

Born in Atlanta, Dr Bryan Stamper grew up the son of a Presbyterian pastor, who was also the son of a Presbyterian pastor. From two to five years of age, Pastor Bryan lived in Scotland while his father earned a PhD in theology. The family settled in Florida, where Bryan lost his Scottish brogue but picked up an affinity for surfing and soccer. Bryan’s childhood claim to fame is being on the same surf team as Kelly Slater, appearing in Kelly’s book, and now remaining friends with the Slater family.

Pastor Bryan played soccer on scholarship in college, graduating from The University of Georgia, Athens with a degree in finance. He earned his master’s degree in divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary, and his doctorate in ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2015.

More importantly to him, Pastor Bryan is a family man who married his beloved Kerry in 2003. Kerry also grew up in the Presbyterian church; their two families connected through a Presbyterian church in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Kerry earned her master’s degree in public health, then kept her career in the pharmaceutical industry moving until the birth of their first son. Four years after the first, their second son arrived during a vacation Bible school in Texas.

Pastor Bryan has been blessed with church members in the Zig Ziglar corporation in Texas, and most recently Ken and Margie Blanchard (authors of “The One Minute Manager”). Bryan currently serves as the Senior Pastor at a church in Texas, writes a daily devotional, and surfs/golfs/travels as his schedule with family allows.
